Confirmation, First Holy Communion Cake Inspired by Michelle Cake Designs

This is the communion cake I was talking about when I made the pink, blossoms communion cake post. This cake was actually for a combination Confirmation and First Holy Communion celebration. It was also for a boy and the green colours were inspired by the handmade invitation. Silver was added to match the silver cross which was also used on the invitation.

It was decided stars would be a nice addition as it was for Thomas and they have been used around the base of the cake some on the top and the dove has been embossed with stars.

I love the simplicity of these two communion cake designs. I think small hearts could also be used and of course any colour combination. I think it could also look amazing in white on white with maybe gold or silver detail if you wanted some colour.

Confirmation Cake Idea Inspired by Michelle Cake Designs

This is a girls confirmation cake design that I made lat week and I was really pleased with the final result. It used white, soft pink and an almost mushroom pink/brown as it’s colour scheme.

The design is simple but elegant with an embossed dove and cross on the top. White blossoms some with a pink centre soften and sweeten the design. A little sugar paste butterfly with the inscription finishes the design.

I’m doing a variation of this for a boys confirmation next week so I will also make a post for that cake.

I think variations of this would work well for many occasions. The dove could be replaced by a monogram, birthday number or even just a cross for a christening cake.
